This is the life story of Anne Sullivan Macy, the fascinating woman known to Helen Keller as "Teacher." Anne Sullivan grew up in poverty, attended a school for the visually impaired because of her own visual impairment, and through a strong will to succeed, became a teacher to a young deaf-blind girl from Alabama. They became life-long companions and together helped the world learn about blindness, abilities and success.
