Richard is a black man in the early 1900s who loves to read but can't check out books from the local library. He borrows a white man's card and reads every book he can. What would you do if somebody tried to keep you from reading?

Re: Richard Wright and the Library Card
Me, too. I don't think anybody could keep me from reading! I used to stay up late with a flashlight so I could finish the book I was reading. Did you like this book?

Re: Richard Wright and the Library Card
If someone kept me from reading i just wouldn't listen. While anyways it was a great book.

Re: Richard Wright and the Library Card
It was too bad that he wasn't allowed to get books. I bet there were a lot of things he wasn't allowed to do.

Re: Richard Wright and the Library Card
I would ignore them and keep on reading or i would move somewhere where no one i know would be there to stop me from reading.
