Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I haven't read the book, but I'm working on it. It seems interesting and no offense but it probally want have anything on Harry Potter. Sci-fi isn't my piece of cake. All that doesn't matter as long as it's a good book.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
This book is sooooooooo freaky! But it is also waayyy good! Read it if you dare! Beware! the movie is even freakier! I have read and watched both. I almost had nightmares from the movie. I love Madelines books. Other good books to read are( these are not by Madeline L'engle) The Dragons in our Midst series by Bryan Davis also by Bryan Davis is the series, Oracles of fire. Brian Jaques writes REALLY descriptive books. Remember, There are always more books.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
MYGOD what a big book that was, but well worth it! A very good book one of the best i have ever read.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
it is would be so much fun to travel in time to find my dad like calvin ,meg, and charels wallace.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
Great Book!

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I have read all of these books and LOVE them!!!!!!!!!!!! Ms. L'engle has just put out a new book called An Acceptable Time. It has to deal with Meg's kids.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I loved this book and the others following it are even better. Charles is so cool.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
Madeline L'Engle is my favourite author! i have read all of her wrinke in time series including sort of a continuation about meg's daughter (Polly) in the fifth book 'an acceptable time' i would really reccomend this series to everyone

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I just read A Wrinkle in Time and it si the best book ever. The Tesseract was the most awesome idea. It would be cool if there were really planets like the ones in that book. I know no one uses this anymore but if you read this and you haven't read A Wrinkle in Time you'll never know what a real book is like until you do. So what's up with y'all? Are you guys havin a good summer? I am. Later.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I enjoyed reading A WRINKLE IN TIME.It was full of suspense. But I don't understand how strict the rules were. And why would you want a perfect town? If you made just 1 mistake you would have to report to the most feared It. Meg said it looked like a pulsing brain. Well that is what I think of the book. Please try her other books such as A WIND IN THE DOOR , A SWIFTLY TILTING PLANET,and MANY WATERS.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
Rock on y'all! A Wrinkle in Time was the coolest thing I've read in a very long time...however, I don't think anyone could compare to J.K. Rowling with the Harry Potter series. I've never read anything that takes me away like that. Although the planets in A Wrinkle in Time was cool and the tesseract was awesome, nothing beats Harry Ron and Hermione.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
i can't belive that meg's father dissaperred

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
Oh my gosh! A Wrinkle in Time was so cool! It had suspense and I just wanted to keep turning the pages. I read it in two days and read it again to a friend. I would hate to have a perfect town though. It would be so boring. And the pulsing brain...gross! But it was awesome!

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
To Jetta and anyone who wants to find out more about what happens to Meg, Charles-Wallace, and the twins: Madeline L'Engle has three other books about them! They're called "A Wind in the Door," "A Swiftly Tilting Planet," and "Many Waters." Has anyone else read these books? What was your favorite part?

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I did not understand a lot of the words. But still I really think it was the best! It involves courage, strategy and a whole lot more. Read it!

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I liked reading the book A Wrinkle In Time and answering questions about it because this book is sceince fiction, and that's my favorite genre. Also, there was a lot of high level vocabulary I didn't know. This book was fun to read with my class because I already read it so I knew what was going to happen. This book also was sort of funny and I like funny things.A Wrinkle In Time was one of my personal favorite books.I was so interested after I read A Wrinkle In Time,I read every other book in the series!

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I think that A Wrinkle in time is a great book about love, suspense, and determination.I especially like the love in this book. There is sibling love between Charles Wallace and Meg, a friend love between Meg and Calvin, and a parent-child love between Meg and Mr.Murry.This book is about determination because they are all trying to fight a terrible terrifying force. THIS BOOK IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
It's me again.I just read my response on the computer.I don't mean to be rude, but I over exaggerated a little bit. Some things were very hard to understand while reading, especially some words.I did not know whatantagonistic knew off the top of my head. I'm pretty good with pronunciations and words but if your not, have a dictonary at hand while you read. This is still a great novel!!!!!!!!

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I like " A Wrinkle In Time". It is a good book because it is interesting and it deals with parts of science that I never really knew. For example, I never knew that there was a fourth dimension, or that it was called Time and Space. But I have a question: is there really a fifth dimension? Is there really such a thing as a tesseract? Is there any way of finding out? (But I don't think there is any way.) Also, why did Madeleine L'Engle like writing science fiction books? Anyhow, I like the story and I would like to read some more books by Madeleine L'Engle. She is a good author.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I love this book.It is a wonderfull story about love, friendship, and travel through time and space. Meg, a child dealing with her father's disappearance, her brother Charles Wallace, and their new friend Calvin go on a journey by tessering or "wrinkling" to other planets in a different solar system on a journey to rescue Meg's father from IT, the powers of evil and darkness. This is a great book and people who like science-fiction should definitely read it.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
This book has a very interesting comment and is very well written. I have read it twice -Books r kool

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I read A Wrinkle in time a real long time ago when I was in third grade and I dont remember alot from it. I remember some of the planets that they visited like the one where everyone was the same and with the two dimentions length width. I have read many other good books since then though

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I relly enjoyed this book. If you are betwen 8 and 16 years of age and a Science Fiction Fan you will enjoy it also. Read other books by this author.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I think that this is a fabulous book. I highly recommend it to all readers. If you are too young you won't understand this book but other wise it is awesome just like all the other books in the series.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I think this was a great book. I loved it because my favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy. This book combines both genres. Madeline L. Engle uses a lot of good literry techniques such as flashback and cliffhangers.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
The way this book puts you in a weird mood is just so enjoyable and cool (:

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I thought it was really hard to understand what a tesseract was.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
A Wrinkle in Time is one of my favorite books! I think it is even more interesting than Harry Potter because of the amazing ending on the planet where every kid is controlled by an evil madman.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
Yeah, I thought this was hard to understand, too. Mrs. Whatsit helped a little -- you know, when she folded up her skirt, to show how the ant can easily hop from one spot to the next if space is bent a little. But it's still a pretty tricky idea.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I like the part when they reach the planet where Meg and Charles' father was captured and everything is in unison and the same. It was a great way to show how important it is to be different and that while equality is good, sameness (I don't think that's a word) is not. The author provided a good argument to this by forcing Meg to think about it herself. If you think about it, a lot of the book has hidden meanings. Like this part, at the surface, it just seems to be a crazy planet, but if you go deeper, it reflects humanity in general.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I loved this book. I thought it was cool that the most ordinary, plain-jane character (Meg) ended up playing such an important role. Who was your favorite character, and why?

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
I think that this book is very fun to read.

Re: A Wrinkle in Time
Hi, Lex. I thought it was fun to read, too. What is your favorite part of the book so far?
